I can`t say enough how much I love working shapes with the children. It`s always fun and it can be very creative!
This time we worked around the book Shape Shift. They simply loved guessing the shapes along with me and were surprised by many things that shapes could turn into through the book.
After that, it was our turn to find more shapes around us.
Jamieson was the first one who pointed out a square and a rectangle in our cubbies.
Declan pointed out the clock. “The clock is a square!”
Aston pointed out the Indigenous art we have on the wall. “That`s a rectangle!”
And I pointed the only circle I found around us! “Look at the switch! What can you see?” Juno said: "a circle!'. Jamieson completed saying: " a rectangle too".
Time to create something with our own shapes! Triangle, semicircle, crescent, trapezoid, rectangle, circle, oval, diamond, and square,
What can they turn into it?
